To be honest, I enjoyed a lot the way we worked in this subject. One of things I liked about that, was that we could practice listening, writing, reading and speaking along the time. Other important issue, was that we could unserstand how important is to know that Enlgish as language is not just from USA or England, and there are other spaces where they talked it, and a lot of that are with black or latin ancestry. 

Although I don't trust on university issues, to learn English in that was a nice experience, and I learned more than before; secondly, I also value advices that teacher recommended to us, about to continue listening to music in English, watching movies and series in English with subtitles in English, and reading in English.

An aspect of my own English that I need to improve, is to can understand things when they're speaking fast, and I think i can get it if I listen series or movies. In fact, outside the English class I used to pratice English daily, with my classmates, friends, and sometimes in the family. 

Blog 7: Changes to my study program

There are things that I don't like about my study program, but a lot of that issues find relation with my problems against the academy system, that usually is just white and don't considerate to black, brown and indigineous knowledges. in that line, I would add that issues in subject in the program, or teachers with that ancestry. 

Because we're tired of the online way, I would add trips and fieldwork, in fact, before Pandemic we did not have a lot of that. About faculty facilities I would change the student mobility, even nowadays it's not working ok in our university. 

About teaching methods I would give that space to the first kind of knowledge that I said at first, and in the use of technology that always will give us a global red. 

Time travel to the future

 

Time travel to the future

At first, I would like to travel to Perú in 2036, 15 years after than my last trip there, so, this year a few months ago. I want to do it, because in that trip I could know a lot of people, and I could to at the same time new relationships between dancers and communities of dance scene. In the time, each one of them and us will change, even our dancing way, so, it sounds interesting how it can be. In other way, I would to back to Machu Picchu, because it's like it never changed and time stoped there, and I want to know if that keep it. 

I think in that time the dancing voguers will have new houses and ballroom scenes, in Lima and in other cities, and Machu Picchu will stay in the past time. We'll see!

 My future job

I enjoy a lot to travel, so I imagine I could say that my kind of job is traveling, but, the kind of trip I like sometimes is not compatible with the job system. In that way, I imagine my job in Human Rights, with hopes to be outdoors, and visiting a lot of communities. 

About the salary, I don't have high expectations but, I hope at the same time to can get to live and to follow traveling. My major is about indigineous people and communities, so, i expect to share with them, and other kind of communitties too. If I go to other countries for me its a job, especially if the trip is about culture, people or to know other languages, even if i they don't pay for that. Thats something that I have to work too, because I can't follow doing things that can be considered jobs without a salary forever.

About studying in a Master Program, I guess I would like to do it but just for get jobs and no because i really want it. In fact, I want to learnd and I love to do it, about latinamerican issues for instance, but no studying in educational institutions. 

I like subjects like History, Gender and Literature, but I don´t trust in academy, nor in academician people. In that case, if i Will study Latinamerican issues i would decide to study that here, in Latinamerica, but if were other issues I would like to study outside of Chile, but to learn face to face from other people, no because trusting in white academician people or their knowledges. It's just because in the History a lot of voices were invisible, and now we're giving spaces to them, to us.

I am currently watching Squid Game and Sex Education! Both series sabe me because I arrived a few days ago from my trip, and here I had to keep in quarantine. In that week I could watch that series on Netflix.

In fact, i had to watch Sex Education more than once because I really like that serie, and it’s so sad for me when they finish. Also, I would recommend that serie to the class, because there they talked about important issues to us as young people, but for all generations too at the same time.

Finally, there’s not a serie that i’m looking forward to coming out, but i’m really expecting for a new season about my favorites series, what i told before.

Hi! Welcome to my blog!

I know a lot of people would like to visit Europe or USA, but I feel a strong attraction for Latin America, specially for Peru. I imagine that country is one of the most important in culture from our southern territory.

I don’t trust on academy, or in academician people, because they usually take the information from their white privilege. I want to learn, but i don’t want to study anymore in that way how we have to, so, if I go to that country that I said, i want to learn about the people and with them; to travel, to work and maybe to live there.

About Peru, before to go, I knew that it was a big country in culture and distances issues, the buses travel through hours. That country has the Inca and pre-Inca culture, and other indigenous cultures. They also have a lot of different landscapes, as ocean, desert, oasis, valley, mountain and jungle too, and I would like to visit all of them. I would like to dance with my international ballroom scene, and to make new friends.
